Sergey,
You've been a great help in the past and I am hoping you can assist me with an issue with one of our older products. It is written in FPW2.6 and runs great on WIN95 and WIN98 boxes.
At startup, the application opens 60 tables and sets relationships. On WIN95 and WIN98 systems the startup over the network is a couple of secons. The problem is that when users upgrade to WIN2000 boxes the same open and relationship process can take up to 3 minutes. Ouch.
I know optimistic record locking on the server is an issue but turning this off on the server does not seem to help. Any ideas? One good solution I know already is to tell the user don't upgrade boxes without buying our upgrade software but sometimes this is a hard sell.
Regards,
Jim Smith
