OK. Well then, now that we understand each other, may I rephrase my suggestion:
Option 1: In addition to the option "Expand message nodes on retrieval", have an additional option to automatically expand forums and categories on message retrieval.
Option 2: Reduce the minimum for the dynamic treeview, to perhaps 50 or 100.
