I have this data intensive Housekeeping app. During some testing the other day, on my WIN98 machine, I ran the windows system monitor, as other apps complained about insufficient memory.

I was surprised to see that although the memory usage was not high, the CPU usage was 100%. VFP 7 was running the CPU flat out. As soon as I stopped the app, the usage would drop dramatically and on restart, it would jump to 100% at once.

Is there any SYS() setting that will limit this high CPU usage?

Is there anything I can do about this?

This app is meant to run on a WIN2k server and I do not want it to use ALL the CPU resources on the server as other processes will be affected.
