On my Windows XP Professional Version 2002 SP 1, I did a OS() and "Windows NT 5.01" was returned. On my Windows 95 4.00.950 B, an OS() returned "Windows 4.00". This does not seem consistent with the link that you provided, which is OK as long as it is consistent. Do you think that I can differentiate between Win95 and Xp by looking at the "4" or the "NT" in the second word that is returned?
