I looked at the import wizard a couple of years ago, but could never get it to compile from the source code provided. Since I was looking at it more out of curiosity than need I just didn't have the time to debug it completely.

I would say yes, you probably could integrate it. I use it quite frequently for file imports and it generally works as well as anything else I've seen.
