>You cannot compare foreign rates with other foreign rates. You can only compare local markets. Each country has its own value of the local currency and its own boundaries. So, 11.00$ US, despite the fact that this could be very high for you, is completely ridiculous in Canada and in US, at least.
Yes, but soon you'll have that idea out of your head, all brought to you by the wonders of "globalization"!
In the not too distant future WE in our own localities here in North America (or Europe or ...) will be competing directly with these "remote" shops and we will find ourselves having to take $11. USD or have no work. Then it will move to $8. USD, then possibly to $4. USD. Then, finally, the WHOLE WORLD will be a "level playing field".
Globalization has one purpose and one purpose ONLY, and that is to make as much profit as possible for corporations. It has ZERO concern for workers or local populations or loyalty (what a silly concept) or anything except $$$$$.
And don't count on "small businesses" to keep us going. Sooner than we think most small businesses will be strictly services and mainly front-ends for the corporations anyway.
