the form still exists - if I issue a show all from the Windows menu it appears, but I get an object not found error when I click on the return button from the FormX form.

>As long as the form still exists, but is hidden with the HIDE() method and the user did not click the CLOSE button, frmFormX.Show() will work as long as you have the correct form name. If the test IF WEXIST('frmFormX') returns true, then frmFormX.Show() should work.

>>and how do you call the from that is hiding back? On the FormX, I have a return button that I want to SHOW() the form1 - I have tried form1name.SHOW(), but that doesn't work. I can not 'DO FORM' because I want the form to have the data populated that was already ther.
