My problem was a SET LIBRARY TO GPLIB.FLL ADDITIVE statement. In the debugger I get an INVALID FILE GPLIB.FLL message, but outside the debugger I get the corrupted exe file message.

Now I am working on why GPLIB.FLL is causing me problems.
