Win98 and higher are supported by .NET for code execution (see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/productinfo/faq/default.asp), so that should not be an issue. There is an OLE DB (or an ODBC driver, I don't remember) for Progress, so that should not be a problem either.
Now, if you don't want to go with .NET for whatever reason, I can't force you. I just wanted to add another option to your list of tools.
>The users are on Win98SE. Connected in a VPN via phone lines to Unix servers. Some of the data goes into a Progress database via ASCII and the rest (currently) goes into .DBFs. We're thinking VFP 8 and MySQL.
