Have 2.6 app. running under vis 7.0

Users are allowed to enter text values for command btns.

Problem:
I can limit number of characters user is allowed to enter but it still changes the size of the buttons because font means an "O" is not same width as "I", etc.

I tried using foxpro textwidth command but it has a bug (according to MSFT) and I can attest that it does not work. I was going to reduce font till it fit.

Seems the only way I will get this to work is allow user to enter text, cvt that text to a bitmap and assign the bitmap to the button. Of course the bitmap will have to be the same size (if that makes sense), no matter what the text.

Any ideas welcome. I have tried the SIZE clause of the get command but that does not help. I have tried about every font there is but no success.
