You might want to take a look at bbscheduler at
www.bbcontrols.com. It is a task scheduling application that you can access via its COM interface to insert, edit or delete tasks. I use it to schedule auto backups, it works pretty well and is very reasonably priced. I have used it on WinXP, WIN2000 Win NT and Win 98 without any problems.
You can download a fully functional shareware version to try before you buy. I had it working with my applications in about an hour. One of the best $20 tools I have found.
