i was able to add a menu to my top level form, thanks to you. but why is it that my form is not active (menu showing gray fonts when form is first loaded). i have to click on the form or the menu itself.

and, adding a menu tells me that i should set the form as top level, not in top level. but the FAQ you told me says i should set the form in top level.

can't i have menu and a toolbar in my form?

pls help, im a real newbie to visual foxpro.
