>I've been thinking about the changes in the VFP8 EULA regarding upgrades since last week and what it means to upgrade and I've changed my thinking on this. Upgrading software means that you replace the old with the new. In this sense, the terminology in the new license is correct. In fact, if you go back and read older licenses, they imply the same thing, but it isn't clear cut as it is now. The new license is correct. If you need multiple versions side by side, buy the full version or better yet, get an MSDN subscription.

Too bad you did'nt think about that before your first reaction <vbg>.

I was surprised about all the things you said. I don't remember all the details but from what I remember you said that you wanted to send e-mails to Bill Gates and others. So to me for someone to come to that conclusion it means that that person already thought it over.

I admired that gesture because you were one of the first MVPs here on the UT that I saw reacting strongly to something that MS did that could affect "Ordinary: Meaning those that are not part of MS inner cicle" developers.

So after the present thread I've changed my mind about you <vbg>
