I would also like to see this.

The challenge is satisfying the mutually exclusive requirements of confidentiality and not allowing some fruit cake to make multiple entries. A hypothetical 73k VFP A/P in Golden Colorado could only be one person. Perhaps first 3 or 4 digits of our Zip Code will suffice for location.

Years of experience would also be required - and how those years have been spent e.g. 8 years staff Programmer through Senior A/P. 7 years independent. 1.5 years a mix of both.

For staff positions remuneration should take into account benefits : employer pension contributions, health insurance, car, holiday days, etc.

Type of employer / client also helps to put things into context : non-profit, Federal / State / City Government, Finance, Manufacturing, Service Sector, etc.

For independent contractors, number of concurrent clients, typical duration of contract (is there such a thing), number of extensions, etc. might be useful. And in the U.K. whether the contract is subject to IR35 (the Inland Revenue taxes you as though you were a full time member of staff).

Also useful from an independent contractors perspective would be to get an idea of the number of inactive weeks (or business days) during the last two or three years – when these inactive days were not by choice (i.e. unable to find work).

Rounding off, it might be useful to also collect data about team size (if in one), size and nature of current / last project.

OK. This just became an application!
