I want to thank you very much for the information you posted. Unfortunately, the customer has not been the most forthcoming with their configuration information because it's obviously easier to blame the application and/or vendor for the problem, right? :)

Since my original post, I've been informed that they just recently migrated from NW 5 to NW 6 and the performance is just fine now. If the performance starts to degrade then I will have your info on hand and will also inform them that obviously their server cannot handle the load if it starts off good and then gets worse.
