How about posting some code as to how/when/where you're setting the SessionState. I probably won't be able to help you with it (I haven't used SessionState yet, still struggling with ViewState), but I'm sure others will jump in to help if you can post more information.

However, as soon as I click on a link in the default page, session state variables go away. The next page cannot see them. In the watch window I get a message that says 'session.get_item returned null. I also have the sessionID displayed in the watch window and it doesn't change so the actual session is still there.
