The error is before I can tableupdate.
I think it is because I have opened the table before in the form and for some reason am unable to close it, I shall work on this.

Hi Blair,

I am thinking your free table is an alias table, not a VIEW. Therefore, you must =TABLEUPDATE(.T.); not update (SQL UPDATE) command. Just a thought. Anyone else?
