>In addition to what Michel told you, there could a mis-match in the header count or a problem with the index. First, I'd try to PACK the table to see if there's a problem with the header count. This will also reindex it. If the problem persists, re-build the index from scratch.

Keep in mind, that PACK will fix the table only if there're deleted records in it.
