The Army. The one thing it afforded me that was really terrific is the travel. I've been to so many countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Spain, France, Nederland, Russia, East Berlin (when there was one), Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador, and more. Of course I did not have a family then so I could do whatever I wanted and I wanted to travel. Now I would love to take my daughter to some of those places when she is older and can enjoy a vacation that does not include a waterpark or themepark or ice skating, etc! One day perhaps. Until then, what is most important to me is being there for her and not being physically or mentally 'gone' all the time.
