Is there anyway to lower the number of records being pulled down for the combo boxes? Are you only pulling the minimum required records and appropriate fields for them? Have you tried parametized views for them? combo boxes on forms for picklists typically slow apps down more than anything else that I've noticed. Have you tried using views and no data on load instead? Is everything optimized? Do you have 100Mb NICs set to full-duplex on the pcs and a router/switch that supports 100mb as well as the NIC on the server? What OS is the server, the workstations, and what hardware is between?

Thanks for the response Tracy, it looks like we overlooked one.. it turns out that we had used SET FILTER and although it didnt pose a problem on machine one.. it for some reason reaked havoc on machine two.. we tested the app without SET FILTERs and it flew.. now we're in the process of duplicating what the SET FILTER gained for us without actually calling them.
