You can make a button lookalike with a container and a textbox and fiddle with the container properties to make it looked pressed, but it's a lot of work. IMHO clickable text is the cleanest thing to do.
Or make another container class, one that contains a little "toolbar" sized button to the left of a textbox. The textbox shows your row dependent text and they still have a button to click to go do the task. (Which I see James has also suggested)
