Hi everybody,

Ok, I'm wondering, if he would feel my bitter irony in this reply. He just so got on my nerves:

Not sure what I'm looking at other than just adding items into the shopping cart and being able to see what are in the cart and being able to remove them.
[Nadya Nosonovsky]
Yes, as I said, I've concentrated on the Shopping Cart functionality, so I didn't program the Purchase or Search pages yet, just made a placeholders.

Questions:
1. Why is there a View Order Summary and View Order Detail ? I don't think you understood what I had meant when I was saying early on that you might needed to have this.
[Nadya Nosonovsky]
Could you please then elaborate more on your idea? My idea was to give the user opportunity to see how many records of each type he selected and give him a chance to remove the whole category, if he decides, that's too expansive. We can get rid of this page or combine with the ViewDetail, if you think, it would be better. David, what's your opinion?

2. While is there this whole notion of First Page, Prev Page, Next Page, Last Page thing inside the Shopping Cart ? Do you really think it is necessary ? If it is, you probably needed to show more to the user so that they would understands that each 'page' is consists of "X" number of bundles (of records) and that if there are more than "X", then it'll go into more pages. I think this would be the 1st time I have ever seem a Shopping Cart that has more than 1 page.
[Nadya Nosonovsky]

May be you're right, but what if the user will add to cart more than 100 bundles? If this is the case (though with a little possibility (if the user is not a maniac or just pressing Add to Cart button, because his finger slipped ), then the pages would be convenient. I can add a visual indication, that there are more pages to follow. Of course, removing navigation pages would be an easy thing to do and would simplify the design. I just wanted to try the tougher case.

3. You might wanted to consider adding in another field called 'records type' in the Shopping Cart View (detail ?). It's already in the other one (summary) ? Like I've said, I'm a bit confused on why there are 2 separate one. You probably should just combine them for now.
[Nadya Nosonovsky]

Right, of course. I'm going to add Credit Type and probably a State. Not sure, how the records should be originally sorted.
Joe & David, what do you think?
I'm going to add sorting capability later on. BTW, how do you usually program sorting - on the server by reloading a recordset or on the client by using array?

4. Purchase doesn't seem to do anything yet...it just needed to go and finish the flow for doing the purchase which is to collect credit card information/etc and then send to cybercash for processing, etc.
[Nadya Nosonovsky]

See the above reply. I know, what should Purchase page do, but didn't have a chance to work on it yet, because I was extremely busy trying to make this correctly working locally page to work on the server... BTW, what should I use for the version control? I made bunch of changes in my local pages and bunch of changes in the pages on the server. I don't know, how to reconcile them.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to look at my humble work. Much appreciated and your opinion is exremely valuable to me.

Ok, were you able to run the page? What do you think?

Thanks.

If it's not broken, fix it until it is.
