Client has asked me to buy a web server for them to host some internet applications I am developing. They have outsourced their networking support and that person is not that aware of web servers. I'm looking at Windows 2000 server on a Dell server box. Other than a lot of ram what other thing should I consider.

They have several thousand clients who will be acessing their web site but not at really heavy volumes. It will probably expand to heavier volume when the online applications for underwriting kicks in. The web programs will be written using AciveVFP - multi-threaded dlls.
