Because it was working in vfp7! In all the cases, these are SELECT-SQL commands that behave well under vfp7 and bad in vfp8
For example: SELECT field1, field2 as myas from ... order by myas
I don't care to be a good vfp8 citizen for the future development but I would like my existing apps to run without updating all the code...
