There was actually another side to this story that I thought I saw on the news, but have not heard anything about since. Apparently, there was an anti-war protest either outside the mall or inside shortly before Christmas, and the people involved in the protest wore similar shirts.

Personally, I could not fatham enforcement of such a thing. Well, it appears that the two gentleman in question were actually arrested for trespassing because they were physically stopping shoppers and the shoppers complained to mall security:
