I read the following:
"Add CursorAdapter objects to containers other than the data environment, such as forms, form sets, and other containers. in the Help section titled "Remote Data Connectivity Using CursorAdapter Class" under the "Data Features Enhancements" heading.

Is that what you're trying to do?
