Simon,

Yes, I'm using the released version.

And it is a fact that there was lots done TO CursorAdapter SINCE the public beta.

Unfortunately, I'm just in the process of reading about it myself. From what people have said about this I view it as (probably) a critical feature for future development, so I'm doing all the digesting I can before diving into using it.

But I'm sure that someone will tell you shortly the pertinent details.

FYI, the documentation for CursorAdapter is EXTENSIVE. I'd say more of it, and more thorough, than anything I've seen in VFP Help in the past.

Sorry I can't help further.

>>>My previous framework was built around containers that were added to a form at run time. This was part of a delayed initiation strategy however this will not work with cursoradaptors because they must be added to the dataenvironment but a dataenvironment cannot be added to a container.

>>>CursorAdapters can be created as standalone objects or added to the DataEnvironment. However, they cannot be added to a container object. What is the reason for this limitation?
