Chris
I don't think everybody is "blaming" the US. FWIW, I tend to agree with you that troops massed on the border is "helping" Iraq behave responsibly.
FWIW, New Zealand has a medical team and a communications team assisting the Arms Inspectors to the best of our ability. We want to see this solved and if it can be solved without war, surely we are all happier. You should be- a unilateral war will cement the image of the US as "the great Satan" in another generation of hatred, just what you need.
If we do support war I'd rather it was on the basis of full facts rather than snips which you will agree do not always carry all the detail. That we cannot find any sign of the declassified report that is making the US and UK keep their hands on holsters, is disappointing. Track record to date indicates that we need to read it ourselves.

"... They ne'er cared for us
yet: suffer us to famish, and their store-houses
crammed with grain; make edicts for usury, to
support usurers; repeal daily any wholesome act
established against the rich, and provide more
piercing statutes daily, to chain up and restrain
the poor. If the wars eat us not up, they will; and
there's all the love they bear us."
