I had this exact same problem, I spent 1/2 hour with Microsoft Tech Support where I was informed that if you have more than 180 fonts installed this error will occur. I hope this was corrected with VFP50. Perhaps you tell me how you deactivated fonts without deleting them, this would be of great help to me since I can only use ariel in foxpro if I want to avoid getting the error.
