do you use EXE or MTDLL? I tried the same with our COM based WebReport (MTDLL) to launch joined reports asyncroneously, with both running at near 100% CPU, I do not see the problem - they both started without blocking each other and ran cuncurrently with other tasks initiated in the middle of the process. I tries both ASP->COM and ASP.NET->COM - both seems to work well. You may try it yourself from our demo site (register at http://www.arnicacorp.com) - go to tab Solutions - this is when you get several reports running at the same time.
