This may be a precursor of what is to follow. Just like the Gulf War, the poorest equipped/supplied troops are on the front line. The Republican Guard will be behind the regular army personal to insure no one retreats.

Perhaps there will be other incidents like this when war begins. Last time the Republican Guard was allowed to get away almost untouched. That was a decision made my General Colin Powell as I recall.
