As I look at the schedule for Microsoft Great Lakes district events I notice there aren't any "unveiling" or roll-out events for VFP 8 (although there's all sorts of stuff for relatively smaller issues and subjects). Is this more (conspiracy theory) anti-marketing for VFP by Microsoft or do they just save these sort of things for conventions?

There were several Windows/Visual Studio 2003 "coming out" parties scheduled.
