Thanks for the advice. I'm going to give it a shot. What I was hoping to do was create an actual File DSN (using Windows Admin Tools), save that DSN somewhere on a server, and then reference that specific File DSN from within each of my VFP programs. That way, if anything changes with the DSN, I only have to change it in one place, rather than in multiple programs.
