Hi John.
I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on whether it is better to create non-visual class libararies in VCX files using the Visual Class designer or to do it programmatically using .PRG files.
IMHO, visual classes belong in a visual class library. That is a reason they call it a visual class library < s >.
More and more these days, my non-visual classes go in prgs. Since VFP 7 and the document view, it is much easier to navigate to the methods in my prg based classes. Before VFP 7, I used to put my classes in a vcx (even the non-visual ones) becasue the modal procedure/function list was such a PITA to work with.
Most of my non-visual classes are based on the session class and those cannot be defined visually anyway < s >.
