Which example do you refer ?
You can edit name, descriptions and value of a new property added to a class either in class designer or on a subclass of it. Maybe you're trying to set its value in 'Edit property\method' dialog box where you can modify name and description and can attach access, assign methods ? If so, simply close that dialog, find the property in PEM sheet and put any value you want (default .F.). New user defined properties are listed after built-in PEMs in PEM sheet.
Also programmatically you could set that property anywhere (depending being public\protected\hidden).
