I thought the breakdown on oil production and oil consumption was interesting. I had no idea that Brazil was the 10th largest in oil consumption in the World.

I also had no idea that Brazil is one of the world's largest exporters of armaments. What concerns me is that they have such a lack of prohibitions on resale of their exports so those weapons could get into the hands of the wrong people very easily. Of course that is a concern with all countries that manufacture components for weapons. I also had no idea that Brazil's nuclear capabilities are the most advanced in Latin America.

It appears that Brazil was also one of the charter nations banning the manufacture and use of chemical weapons.

Some or all of this may have been in the news at some point or other, but I do not recall hearing any of it.
