Paul, When I have had wierd behavior like this in VSS I go to the directory where the local copy resides and rename it to something else. Then go into VSS Explorer and check in the file in question. Then go back into VFP to join source control project. When doing this put the new project in another location on your local disk. After you do this you should have a new copy as it sits in VSS and the archive copy which inturn won't be part of a VSS project anymore. Again this has worked for me in the past so it may work for you. Good Luck
