One of the things I miss most around this area is major events, there's no NFL, no NBA, no MLB, not even MLS, recently we've been getting more concerts, but that's about it. I'm not that crazy about big city haste, so that's another plus for Fort Worth, it does indeed sound nice :).

>Western end of the metroplex so I have access to Dallas if I want but Fort Worth still has a small big town feel. Has more of a Texan flavor than Dallas so I think it is more laid back. I love to ski so being 30 minutes from DFW and in central US provides great access to rest. There is plenty of work in Fort Worth as an independent foxpro developer but if need be I have access to rest of metroplex. I have only been out of work as an independent for 2 weeks since 94. Cost of living is really reasonable.

>Spring and fall are wonderful so it makes for great Golf. Must be at least 50 great courses in DFW to play. Both the Byron and Colonial are here. Cowboys Mavericks and Stars and Rangers...

>So I rate very very nice.

>>Great!, I have a friend that lives in Dallas, he's a civil engineer. I should be getting my residence this year but I'll be living in El Paso. I have thought about eventually moving to a bigger city, although it's hard to leave the family behind, how's life in Fort Worth?
