I have now got it all working - by distributing the MSMAPI32.OCX and MSMAP32.DLL, and registering it.

I may look into the winsock idea as sugessted by Anatoliy later (as I may need to do some emailing without a client).

Do you have any suggestions where to start looking re how to use winsock to do this ?
