I just checked the registration form again, and the only options for "Country" are Germany, Switzerland and Austria.
If I remember correctly, they check for valid addresses (based on a list of city names or something similar).
So, it seems that I can continue using it, but new registrations (outside of the indicated countries) won't be accepted.
OTOH, it is interesting to note that they expanded the mailbox to 20 MB.
