I just tested that in VFP7 and in VFP8 and can't find a problem.

In an EditBox I typed 123456789
Then highlighted 456
Then pressed left arrow and the insertion point moved to between 3 and 4
Then highlighted 456
Then pressed right arrow and the insertion point moved to between 8 and 7

Now, that is using English Windows NT and English keyboard.
