i've tried your suggestions and it worked, but now i only get the first record.

the code is (originally without blanks after '<')

<asp:Label runat="server" Text='< %# formatstring(DataBinder.Eval(dsFaqs, "Tables(0).DefaultView(0).beschreibung")) %>'/>

'dsFaqs' is my dataset which contains the data to display
'beschreibung' is the column i want to display
