Tom,

You are correct, sometimes I don't get much sleep. You can tell by the time that this message was posted. I was still pretty pumped up after Doug dropped my off at my car at the VDS Office and we still talked till almost 11:30PM before I head to a hotel. Well, after I got on the road and called Paula to say I was heading for a hotel I started dictating some notes and ideas and before long I wasn't far from Columbia and soon after that I was past Columbia, so I just kept going and going until I made it home at about 3:30AM. So after getting up at 6AM on Thursday morning it was a pretty long day. <bg>

I really had a great time showing your group what I have been building and doing and I'm glad you liked it. Even though it can't do an RTF or DOC yet! <bg> So, keep on watching and you never know what it may be doing in the future. All I know is that I am at least putting everything that I want to have in a Report Engine including the great ideas I hear from others as well or that trigger more ideas in my imagination. It is a lot of fun to see everyone's expressions when I show the different features and things that my engine does. It's that kind of excitement that keeps me excited about what I am doing. And, if you hadn't noticed I do love what I do!

Imagineering from my Mind's Eye! <bg>

Thank you and everyone at the Midwest Fox User Group for inviting me out to demo my work.

Just got home from the local VFP user group session where
Rich Simpson demonstrated his Mind's Eye Report Engine.
The session was slated to run from 7 to 9 but we did not
close the doors until 10:30.

The Mind's Eye Report Engine does a lot of things that can not be
done in the VFP report writer and fixs a lot of things
as well. The output to PDF was literally 5 to 6 times
faster than the actual Adobe Acrobat writer. One of the
more impressive things was Rich's enthusiasm to his
great product and the way he is extremely attentive to
customers wishes for enhancements. I get the impression
that Rich does not get much sleep.

If you are at all interested in an excellent reporting
solution be sure to check this option out:

From everyone in attendance at tonight's Midwest FoxPro
User group - thanks again Rich for the great presentation.
