One option is to use visible text, and then search for it. Example:
Dear [Name],

We hereby want to express our thanks for your generous donation of $[Amount], for our campaign.
Another option is to use bookmarks. You can create a bookmark in any place of your text, and then give the command to jump to the bookmark.

I am not sure about the VFP commands, but saving a Word macro should give you the basic syntax.
