Naoto,
Thanks for the response. So far, no luck. What I have done in the past has been to install a runtime exe with the required dlls into a directory on a server. This has worked in 2.0, 2.6, 3, 4, 5, and 6. The machines I am testing with have both VFP6 and 7 installed. The project compiled for 6 runs as expected. VFP7 runs locally and runs as an app on a machine on which Fox is loaded. I have tried running an 'empty' exe (ie with only a MESSAGEBOX line in a prg) from the server and that will not load either so the problem would appear to be in Fox or in the dll's. If it were a problem in the net, I would expect 6.0 to fail and it doesn't. I checked the version numbers of the vfp7enu, vfp7r, and msvcr70 dlls loaded on the server and found them to be the same as those in the workstation(s). I don't have a workstation without Fox available to me this morning but I'll have the client test one next week. I'm still looking for something stupid that I have done but I'm afraid that I may have to face the possibility that Microsoft has decided to limit the functionality of the standalone exe's.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Dennis Keith
