Can anyone tell me why a vp7 exe developed on XP will function on all Windows 98 workstations except laptops???????

I used the project manager wizard to create the project. It istalls fine
and works on Windows 98 PC's with regular monitors. However when installed
on laptops operating Windows 98 it will not run the application.

Quick Summary:

Laptop Install: VP7 loads ok and the Qick Start Pick box appears with the program listed. When the user double clicks the program an error
occurs and it aborts.

As recomended currently, I have place the following dll's in the home directory of my executable. I used to ge a similar error on PC's running
Windows 98 until I was informed that the dll's lised below were required
either in the path or home directory of the exe.

msvcr70d.dll and msvcr70.dll

Is there another dll used for laptops running Windows 98 ???????

I hope some one can answer this question for me since it makes no sense.
