From the Excel side, it can certainly be done.

You have several choices, depending on your needs and the degree of control you need.

• run a VBA program that exports Excel data to DBF/CSV/XML, whatever output format, then a VFP program to get at it (not the best option)
  
• create a VFP COM DLL that is called from Excel VBA that does most of he work
  
• instance the full VFP engine as a COM Server (from VBA) using oVFP = CreateObject("VisualFoxPro.Application"). This is the most powerful option, but with more work, and the exact opposite of controlling Excel from VFP through automation.
