By dumb luck I happen to run the program on a computer that had Office XP (My computer has Office 2000). The program worked perfectly. Without changing code I then ran the program on my machine. My computer had the invisible Excel open. I then ran the program on a machine that had Office 97. The program worked perfectly. I even installed the most recent service pack from Microsoft. It still did not help.

Must be something else. I don't have the problem on my home machine (with Office 2000), nor at work (Office XP or 2002).
