Has anyone ever recorded a file on one sound card while playing a message on another sound card?

We are currently recording telephone conversations to wma format using a sound card and the standard Windows Media Player ActiveX control.

We have successfully played a pre-recorded message into the phone conversation AND recorded that message at the same time! We did this with one ActiveX control playing and one recording using the same sound card.

We now want to try this using two sound cards, but I need to know how to tell each ActiveX control which sound card it's supposed to use. The sound cards are identical Create Soundblasters.

Any ideas?
