Hilmar answered your question regarding setting the buffer mode on the tables programmatically. As to your question on the control source of your controls on the form, this should not be any different whether the table is opened in the load event of the form or in the data environment. Unless, somehow your method is different. Do the controls all work correctly with the tables opened in the load event of the form? Do you have sql statements in your individual controls perhaps? If so, you may want to change that method too. Perhaps you should post some code as an example so everyone can verify?
